ACCF/Pfizer Career teleradiology Development Awards in Clinical or Preventive Cardiovascular Medicine Description: Two awards, each totaling $195,000, will be teleradiology offered annually for a period of three consecutive years. The purpose of the award teleradiology is to encourage the development and promotion of talented physician-scientists in the field of cardiovascular medicine. Research in clinical and/or preventive cardiovascular medicine will be given preference for these awards. Eligibility: Each applicant must: • hold rank of instructor or assistant professor at the time of the initiation of the award and have completed adult, pediatric, or surgical cardiology fellowship training in a program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association; • be no more than five (5) years out of training; • be members, or eligible to become members, of the American College of Cardiology (i.e., Affiliate in Training or permanent members); • demonstrate assurances from their sponsoring institution that an appropriate position, mentorship, and facilities adequate for the conduct of the proposed research program will be provided during the term of the award; • not be sponsored/hosted by an institution that will be hosting another recipient of this award |
