| The auction was held in a giant ballroom, and it was packed--collectors from all over the world attended. Competition was fierce for many of the lovely dolls from the Peggy Lancaster collection, but collectors where to buy american girl doll with where to buy american girl doll a sharp eye were able to bring home a fantastic doll where to buy american girl doll at a good price. Before going further, I do need to apologize for not reporting on the auction last night, as promised. I had a rather fun surprise--my husband, Russ, showed up in New Orleans (without the children!) to attend convention with me! He showed up about 2/3 through the Theriault's auction. I was, to say the least, flabbergasted (as I slowly kicked the bags of dolls that I had bought toward my friend, so he wouldn't see they were mine). So, reporting on the auction simply had to wait until today! Prices at the auction were strong, especially for some of the rarer lady and early dolls. | Angelina was done for UFDC in an edition of 400. Also today I attended the Vogue luncheon and the Theriault's reception for the premier of the French Doll Encyclopedia. The competitive toni trent parker doll exhibits opened, as well as the special exhibits--5 in all this year! I've been going from 8 this morning straight through to midnight with no break, but its been worth every minute.
